Hey all,
I am really interested in slacklining and was thinking about purchasing the equipment to try and rig one up myself.  I have watched a many of youtube videos and it looks like all I would need to buy is a few carabiners and some nylon webbing and also a ring to make the carabiner set up effective.  I was wondering if you could buy the nylon at any local stores around town or if I needed to order it online or go to an outdoor store. Also, could I use a strap that you strap fourwheelers down with as an anchor strap if the carabiner way does not work to well.  Just trying to get some information about it before I spend money on it.  I feel like it could be a really cheap sport to start up and I cannot wait to begin.

If you are wanting to build your own setup, start here: http://www.slacklineexpress.com/blog/?p=78

You could buy locally or off the web, but make sure that whatever you are getting meets your needs. You'll want at least 4,000 lb tensile strength, preferably 1" wide. Carabiners can work, but plan on having someone handy to help pull while you are learning.
