What tips can you recommend for wakling highlines? It's all about mental focus, so what helps you get your space walk on?

Hey Joe, just realized you've got a forum here.  Guess I should have known that earlier, but oh well, I'm here now. Wink

Music helps some people.  Something to get you calmed down and in that focused groove.  Sometimes we'll bring a battery powered CD player out to highlines to play some tunes while we walk.

There's really nothing that makes it a WHOLE lot easier though.  It's mostly just breaking that mental barrier and taking the first step.  Once you conquer the mind job, all that's left is slacklining.

I'm still really bummed that you didn't get to try the lines in Moab, that really sucked.  It was great to meet you though, we'll definitely have to get together on another highline sometime.

It was a fun trip regardless though, I may not have done what I planned on doing but it was good to get away from the day to day for a bit.

Yeah, that was a bummer about so little time in Moab - at least I know what to expect and do differently next year. Since I'll be moving in July or so it'll either make it close enough to drive without major considerations or far enough I have to fly in advance. I think I'd have been fine if we hadn't broken down in Kansas as we'd have gotten there early enough to hang out and have some fun rather than showing up discombobulated from caffiene and sleep dep with no time to get my mind clear before we left.

We made it back home fine although it was freezing rain & ice all the way though Kansas.
